He was predeceased by: his parents, Joyce Dotson Coates and Kent Thomas Weidlich Sr.; and his brother Kent Thomas Weidlich Jr. (Skip). He is survived by: his wife Karmon Davis; his children, Kent Thomas Weidlich II and Riley Weidlich Simonsen (Jeremy); his brother Scott Coates (Sandy); and his siblings-in-law, Charles Stanley Davis III and Cameron Riley Davis. He is also survived by his nieces, nephew, great-nieces and nephews; and a multitude of friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 1st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Historic Post Office (132 E Queen St, Hampton, VA 23669).
