She was predeceased by : her parents, Raymond Hill and Annie Mae Hill; and her granddaughter Melissa Ann Bauer. She is survived by : her husband Tommie Haywood; her children, Tammy Latta Routten (Junie), Jami Haywood (Ronda-Marie), Gigi Bridges (David), Dale Haywood, Sherry Baze, Connie Bersch (Dana) and Tommie Haywood Jr. (Sandra); her brother Milton Hill; and her grandchildren, Kailey, Tyler, Peyton-Reney, Shealon, Lee, Mandy, Linsey, Amy, Jimbo, Mindy, Andy, Katie, Jonny, Wiggis, Hannah, Dana and Krystle. She is also survived by 28 great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Monday, May 16th 2022 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home (245 S Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23669). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, May 17th 2022 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, May 17th 2022 at the Parklawn Memorial Park (2551 N Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23666).
