It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mildred S. Bales (Hampton, Virginia), who passed away on May 7, 2023, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Brian Keith Bales (Benny E. Bales) of Smithfield, VA; her parents, Visa Lowe Simpson and Charles A. Simpson of Prospect, VA; and her brother Richard. She is survived by: her sisters, Lena Rose Huddleston, Patricia "Peggy" Kelsey and Pocahontas "Polly" Duncan; her daughter Phyllis; and her son-in-law Gerald Jones of South Boston, VA.
