We are sad to announce that on December 5, 2025, Nelson Ivan Ortiz Sr. of Hampton, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Catalina Rodriguez-Ugarte; his stepfather Emilo Ugarte Sr.; and his brothers, Pedro Ortiz, Samuel Ortiz and David Ortiz.
He is survived by: his wife Dilia; his children, Nelson Jr. and Vicki (Kevin); his siblings, Jennie (Eddie) and Emilio Jr. (Susan); his grandchildren, Nelson III, Catalina, Tyrell, Kera (Tony), Denysha and Niayeve; and his great grandchildren, Adrian, Audrianna, Curtis, Dilia, Caelyn, Katherine and Kori.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Berceuse Funeral and Cremation Traditions (2609 Cunningham Dr, Hampton, VA 23666). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 3:45 PM at the same location.
