He was predeceased by: his parents, Evan Simon and Virginia Simon; his wife Shirley A. Simon; his son Jason Simon; his grandsons, Gavin Simon and Gabe Simon; his sister Margaret Ann Valentine; and his brother-in-law Gary Martin.
He is survived by: his sons, Gregory Simon (Kathryn) and Ronald Simon (Amy); his grandchildren, Abby Keith, Nickolas Simon, Aaliyah Isham, Benjamin Simon, Wesley Hawkey (Izabelle), Isaiah Hawkey, Savannah Hawkey, Aryanna Zeitler, Austin Hall (Skyla) and Ila Ramirez; his great grandchildren, Scarlett Keith-Mulloy, Mathias Hawkey, David Mulloy and Davina Hall; and his sisters, Fran Martin and Nancy Musgrave (Ronnie). He is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces, nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 18th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the R. Hayden Smith Funeral Home (245 S Armistead Ave, Hampton, VA 23669).
