He was predeceased by: his parents, William Carson and Mildred Lee Derby; and his former wife Sylvia Derby. He is survived by: his wife Nina R. Derby; his sons, Billy Derby, Richard Derby and Gary Derby; and his stepdaughters, Mary Lamm and Rebecca Johnson. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
