With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Michael Raven Woody of Hanover, Virginia, born in Lynchburg, Virginia, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Michael left this world on October 19, 2025 at the age of 73, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Hayden Woody and Shirley Gallaher; and his stepfather H. Louis Gallaher. He is survived by: his wife Terry Woody; his children, Jennifer Thompson, Michael Woody (Chelsey) and Kathryn Kindle (Sam); his grandchildren, Peyton, Lane Thompson, Everleigh Woody, Graham and Natalie Kindle; and his siblings, Roger Woody (Debbie) and Sandra Stanley. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Mechanicsville Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home (8014 Lee Davis Road, Mechanicsville, Virginia 23111). The military honors will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mount Olivet Southern Baptist Church (2933 Mt Olivet Rd, Bedford, VA 24523).
