He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas T. Hassell and Dorothy G. Richardson (Hassell). He is survived by: his wife Susan G. Hassell; and his children, William Y. Hassell (Chip) and Sarah H. McKeel (Tyler). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Friday, October 30th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hanover Tavern (13181 Hanover Courthouse Rd, Hanover, VA 23069).
