Johnson of Goochland County and Michael B. Cooke (Mary) of Blacksburg; and his stepbrothers, Joseph P. Hale of Waleska, GA and Kermit E. "Kit" Hale, Jr. (Betsy) of Roanoke. He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
