He was predeceased by: his parents, John Garland and Lula Garland; his wife Mary D. Garland; and his siblings-in-law, Herman, Jimmy, Ralph DeLong, C. D. Byrd, Donald Overstreet and Louise D. Byrd.
He is survived by: his caregiver Brad Hunziker; and his siblings-in-law, Ray DeLong (Marcella), John DeLong (Marie), Danny DeLong (Charlona), Reva DeLong and Cathie Overstreet. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
