She was predeceased by: her parents, Lemuel David and Carrie Miller (Caricofe); and her husband Dr. Richard Theodore Bruce, Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Richard T. Bruce, III (Helen) of Harrisonburg, David W. Bruce (Terry) of Harrisonburg and Barbara McGregor of Harrisonburg. She is also survived by eight grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
