In the sacred silence of farewell, Anna Gae is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that her light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of her loved ones. And as her memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Anna Gae's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Hugh Mitchell and Gertrude Mitchell (Puffenbarger); her husband John Megeath Hughes, Sr.; and her daughter Kimberly Gae Hughes. She is survived by: her children, Cynthia A. Hughes of Rockingham, John M. Hughes of Lake Anna and Jeffrey A. Hughes (Sharon) of Manassas; and her siblings, Peggy Wade and Tom Mitchell. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Jacob's Spaders Lutheran Church (3555 Spaders Church Rd, Mt Crawford, VA 22841). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
