We are sad to announce that, on April 26, 2026, at the age of 97, Anna Prater of Harrisonburg, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Anna departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Anna. Though Anna may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Lynward Madison and Ruth Wampler Stultz; her husband Charles Jasper Prater; and her sister Audrey Jean Hartman. She is survived by: her children, Montie E. Armentrout Jr. (Karen) and Elizabeth Armentrout Strickler Emswiler; her granddaughter Kristi Nicole German (Aaron); and her great grandchildren, Julian German and Jax German. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
