She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Hoffman and Marguerite Ritenour Hoffman; her husband Robert Martin Smith; and her grandson George C. Bowen Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Martin Steven Smith of Luray, Jeffrey Lee Smith of Broadway and Sherry Lynn Bowen of Alexandria; her grandchildren, Brigitte R. Hernandez, Christopher M. Bowen, Ryan Betz, Brandy Farley and Jeffrey L. Smith; her brother Tracey Hoffman; and her nieces, Rhonda and Lisa. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
