She was predeceased by: her parents, Leonard Lucious and Virginia Catherine Bradley Long; and her husband George Edward Painter. She is survived by: her son Timothy Scott Painter of Harrisonburg; and her sister Linda Long Rhodes (Marvin "Bud" Rhodes) of Williamsburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Music Program at Otterbein United Methodist Church.
