It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Caryn Elaine Kozel (Harrisonburg, Virginia), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on March 5, 2021, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Nickolas Kozel; her children, Julie McClay Deborah Wallace (Dave), Nickolas Kozel (Deanna), Sharon Hicks (Patterson), Alexander Kozel (Juliane), Gregory Kozel (Adrienne) and Stephanie Eriksen (Braden); her parents, Roy Meissner and Fern Meissner; and her siblings, Roy, Marilyn and Caryl. She is also survived by 26 grandchildren; and 3 great grandchildren.

In light of current Virginia COVID-19 restrictions, a private funeral service will be held on Saturday afternoon, March 13, at The Church of the Incarnation.
