With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Daphne Scripture of Harrisonburg, Virginia, born in Berea, Kentucky, who passed away on November 25, 2023 at the age of 76. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by : her husband William Hugh Baber, III; and her mother Mary Ann Davis Durnell. She is survived by : her daughters, Sarah Scripture Sawyer and Laura Hope Scripture (Brooke Van Dusen); her former life partner Jared Standish Scripture; and her grandchildren, Miles, Gage, Fielding, Hayes, Tyler Hope and Colton.

The family humbly requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Emmanuel Episcopal Church.
