He is survived by: his wife Donna Downey (Hamilton) of Harrisonburg; his son Aaron Downey (Leslie) of Harrisonburg; his sister Marsha Hoskins (Downey) of Bedford, Missouri; and his grandchildren, Christopher Ellinger (Candace) of Henrico, Akia Wilcox of Clarksburg and Kayleigh Ellinger of Staunton.
