He was predeceased by: his parents, Brammer Nichols and Roxie Eveline Nichols (Proffitt); and his brother Kenneth Nichols. He is survived by: his sons, Loren Nichols of Rock Hill, SC and Stephen Nichols (Kelli) of Elkton, VA; and his grandchildren, Maddox, Marshall and Marlowe Nichols.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to Breakthrough T1D (https://www2.breakthrought1d.org) (formerly JDRF), making life better for those with Type 1 Diabetes.
