It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Earl Smith (Harrisonburg, Virginia), who passed away on July 6, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Lora Murphy Smith and Richard Pershing Smith; and his children, Jeffrey Earl Smith and Kimberly Rae Mitchell. He is survived by: his wife Debbie Smith; his daughter Terri Knicely (Harold); his son-in-law Craig Mitchell; his grandchildren, Chad Knicely, Jordan Knicely, Megan Evans (Logan), Brandon Mitchell, Codie Mitchell (Jenna) and Emma Kyger (Josh); his stepsons, Jimmy Bell (Cindy) and Scott Bell (Morgan); his stepgranddaughter Jessica Prather; and his sister JoAnna Robbins. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren.
