He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Millard Cornett and Lillie Edna Cornett Parks; his wife Carol Ann Layman Parks; his son Dalvis Parks (Monica) of San Antonio, Texas; his brother Delane Parks (Michele) of Sterling, Virginia; and his grandchildren, Everett Parks, Beckett Parks and Suzette Parks.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the McMullen Funeral Home (5784 Greenmount Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22802). A graveside service was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Weavers Mennonite Church Cemetery (2501 Rawley Pike, Harrisonburg, VA 22801). A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 30th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Weavers Mennonite Church (2501 Rawley Pike, Harrisonburg, VA 22801).
