Elder Charles Worthy Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Elder Charles Worthy of Harrisonburg, Virginia, who passed away on August 25, 2025 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, E. K. Worthey and Janie Munsford (Roberts); his sons, Roger Worthey and Russell Tross; his great grandchild Jaxon Davis; and his brother Theodis Worthey.
He is survived by: his wife Esta Virginia Tross; his children, Rosa Rebecca Madden (Bobby) of Harrisonburg, Julie Anne Tross of Harrisonburg and Madison Antuan Darnelle Tross of Harrisonburg; his sisters, Agnes Jean and Josephine Spivey; and his grandchildren, Brian, Kenissa, Antonio, Dávon of Alicia, B. J., Bria, Dionne and Krishon. He is also survived by 20 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests all memorial contributions be made to the Life in the Word Church of Jesus Christ, 26 Atwell Ave., Winchester, VA 22601.
