She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlie Hanger and Frances Hanger (Dingledine); her sons, David Shifflett, Jr. and Gary Shifflett; and her brother Donnie Franklin Hanger.
She is survived by: her son Donald Shifflett; her sister Carolyn Edwards (Bernard); and her stepson Roy Rusmisel, Jr.. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
