Fred Lewis Motter Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Fred Lewis Motter of Harrisonburg, Virginia, who passed away on February 1, 2026 at the age of 97. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Helen Bolton Motter; his wife Serenella Fernanda Serrini; his former wife Rita Marina Angarano; his father Fred Lewis Motter, Sr.; his stepmother Emily A. Garey; his sisters, Jean Motter and Fay Adrienne Russell; and his niece Tina Marie Russell.
He is survived by: his children, Eva Lynne Embrey (John), Phoebe Ann Renfroe (Mike), Antonia Lee Gorman (Patrick) and Charles Frederick Motter (Jean); his former wife Margaret Motter-Ward; his niece Sheri Fay Denny; his nephew David Lewis Russell; his grandchildren, Michael Anthony Baldini, Julia Christina Brain, Jacob Baldini and Lauren Marie Motter; his great-niece Kristen Slavonic; and his great-nephew Bradley Strittmatter. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
