George R. Simons Obituary
We are sad to announce that, on May 1, 2026, at the age of 87, George R. Simons of Harrisonburg, Virginia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Wiley Simons and Ollie Mae Caldwell Simons; and his siblings, Gene, Billy, Dan, Gail, Garland, Edward and Bernice Simons Duncan.
He is survived by: his wife Wanda Bignotti Simons; his son Dr. George Simons Jr. (Kristi) of Spring; his grandchildren, Evan, Braedon and Olivia; his son Scott Edward Simons (Kelly) of Whiteville, NC; his grandchildren, Morgan and Dawson; and his sister Kathleen Simons Schuller (John) of Cleveland, OH.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Bluefield WV.
