With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Hobert Thomas Armentrout Sr. of Harrisonburg, Virginia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 28, 2025 at the age of 90. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Jefferson Armentrout and Pearl Virginia Shifflett Armentrout; and his siblings, Layton Armentrout, Robert Armentrout and Elizabeth Armentrout.
He is survived by: his children, James Armentrout, Hobert Armentrout, Jr., Roger Howdyshell, Jason Armentrout, Elizabeth Armentrout, Kim Pendleton and Janet Moyer; his close friend Genevieve Smith; and his sister Catherine Shifflett. He is also survived by great-grandchildren.
