He is survived by: his sons, Jay Hanger (Jennifer) of Broadway and Brian Hanger of Harrisonburg; his sisters, Phyllis Hanger and Laura May Byrd; and his grandsons, Caleb Hanger, Micah Hanger and Luke Hanger.
