He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard T., Sr. and Mary Scozzafava Gardner; and his sisters-in-law, Jo Ann Gardner and Audrey Gardner. He is survived by: his wife Cathleen Gardner; his children, Robert Gardner of Hackettstown, NJ, Bonnie Gardner of Albuquerque, NM and Laurie Gardner (Jeremy) of Hackettstown, NJ; his brothers, Richard Gardner, Jr. of Dover, DE and David Gardner of Mt. Arlington, NJ; his grandsons, Colin and Connor Stalter; his stepchildren, Sarah Pritchard (Grayson), Liz Koechlein (Andrew Geibel) and Frank Koechlein, III (Pamela Pack); and his stepgrandchildren, Penny, Lyd Brett and Grace Geibel. He is also survived by many loving cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
