She was predeceased by : her parents, Norvell Preston Trumbo I and Sarah Meyers Trumbo; her grandson Nickolas Allen Alderfer; and her siblings, Thelma Jean Trumbo Shank, John Trumbo, Helen Trumbo Shank and Norvell Trumbo II.

She is survived by : her husband Joseph E. Alderfer; her son Max J. Alderfer (Jackie); and her granddaughter Amanda Marie Alderfer.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VMRC Compassion Fund, 1491 Virginia Ave., Harrisonburg, VA 22802; Park View Mennonite Church, 1600 College Ave., Harrisonburg, VA 22802; or to the Mennonite Central Committee, Akron, PA 17501-500.
