She was predeceased by: her parents, Fred W. Gardner and Jane McClain Gardner; her husband Harold Carson Dove; and her brother Ray Gardner. She is survived by: her daughters, Denise Dove of Chesapeake and Bonnie Kania (Wayne) of Chesapeake; her sister Joyce Abbey of Chesapeake; her stepgrandchildren, Ashley Fuller, Boston Fuller and Mason Fuller; her nieces and nephews, Chuck Abbey, Kim Hunt, Sherrie Pecsek, Teresa Gardner, Steve Dove, Ian Dove, Freddy Conley, Adam Drzal, Phil Dove, Mike Dove, Wayne Reel, Jr., Michael Reel, Timothy Dove, Lee Dove and Allen Dove; Glen and Laura Koogler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Harrisonburg Seventh-Day Adventist Church in c/o the Clothes Closet and Food Pantry, both of which she was passionate about.
