He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ralph, Sr. and Helen Mary Ganey Hixon. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Schiltz; his children, John K. Hixon (Mary Pat) of Greensboro, Daniel C. Hixon (Erin) of Edgewater, Maryland and Laura A. Lahm of Chicago; his grandchildren, Jordan Lahm (Samantha), Morgan Hixon, Savannah Hixon and Gianna Patterson; and his great grandchildren, Maya and Aria Lahm.
