He was predeceased by: his father Glenn Shoemaker. He is survived by: his wife Jacqueline Paige Knicely; his siblings, Richard "Dick" Shoemaker (Pat) of Penn Laird, VA, Betty Adkins (Mike) of Rockingham, VA and Cathy Halterman (Glenn) of Monterey, VA.; and his nieces and nephews, Terri Long (Chris), Amy Johnson (W. P.), Bobby McClure (Cheryl), Travis Halterman, Craig Shoemaker (Suzanne) and Todd Shoemaker (Kim). He is also survived by 11 great-nieces and nephews; 3 great-great nieces and nephews.
