It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Judy Lane Custer of Harrisonburg, Virginia, who passed away on April 1, 2024, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Judy Lane Custer to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by : her parents, Henry Washington and Lena Scott Washington; her husband Joseph Carl Custer; her son Jearol "J. E." Custer; and her daughter-in-law Kathy Custer.

She is survived by : her sons, Joseph Custer (Jenny), James Custer (Denise) and Jeff Custer; her sister Sue Long; her grandchildren, Kait Bilston (Tom), Levi Custer (Casey), Aaron Custer, Caleb Custer, Ben Custer, Crystal Alvarado (Armando), Ethan Custer (Rachel) and Hannah Custer; and her great grandchildren, Joel Alvarado, Kayli Alvarado, Greyson Alvarado, Jayda Alvarado, Isla Bilston and Jude Bilston.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 6th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the McMullen Funeral Home (5784 Greenmount Rd, Harrisonburg, VA 22802). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 7th 2024 at 1:30 PM at the same location.
