In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Langley David Armentrout and Mildred Earl Glover Armentrout. She is survived by: her husband James David Hammer of Elkton; her son David Matthew Hammer (Gabrielle) of Huntersville; her granddaughters, Madeleine Blair Hammer of Huntersville, NC., Lillian Brooks Hammer of Huntersville, NC., Ella Hensley Hammer of Huntersville, NC. and Martha Claire Hammer of Huntersville, NC.; and her sister Kathryn Armentrout Daily (John) of Durham.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel (3173 Spotswood Trail, Harrisonburg, VA 22801). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
