It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Mary Nissley of Harrisonburg, Virginia, who passed away at the age of 99, on July 15, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Stauffer and Amanda Stoltzfus Stauffer; her spouse Addona H. Nissley; her siblings, Christian Stauffer, Melvin Stauffer, Anna Belle Stauffer and Elsie Schowalter; her brother-in-law Lew Stoll; and her great grandchild Zara Royer Nissley.

She is survived by: her children, A. Mark Nissley of Rawley Springs, Ruth Nissley Kidney (Bob) of Charlottesville and Tim Nissley (Miriam Lawton Nissley) of Charlottesville; her sisters, Verna Swartzentruber, Ruth Stoll and Marian Carpenter; her siblings-in-law, Mike Schowalter and Leah Stauffer; her grandchildren, Brandon Kidney (Stephanie Gray), Rachel Kidney, Matthew Nissley (Grace Royer), Benjamin Nissley (Petheree Norman), David Nissley, Maria Nissley Ray (Daniel Ray) and Anna Nissley; and her great grandchildren, Makayla Ray, Madison Kidney, Ira Nissley, Eliana Nissley, Bennett Kidney, Mariam Nissley and Elowyn Ray. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Lindale Mennonite Church (6255 Jesse Bennett Way, Linville, VA 22834). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VMRC Good Samaritan Fund, 1501 Virginia Avenue, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.
