He was predeceased by: his parents, Owen Simmons Sr. and Doris Imogene Lilly Allman; his close friend Lilly Shifflett; his son Donnie Simmons; and his siblings, Donald "Duke" Simmons and Patsy Simmons.
He is survived by: his children, Owen Simmons III and Annette Foster (late Kevin Bailey); his stepdaughter Patricia Mathers; his brother Nelson Simmons (Linda) of Rockingham; his stepfather Harold Allman of Dayon; his grandchildren, Megan Kile (Jared), Bryce Roten (Julia) and Brandon Roten (Emma); and his great grandchildren, Whitley Kile, Bralyn Holder, Millie Holder and Linny Roten.
