She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Johnson and Gladys Abramson Johnson; her husband Ernest V. Aschenbach; her daughters, Susan Aschenbach (Norman C. Kohl) and Janis Kohl Marshall; her son-in-law Dave Coyner; and her granddaughter Amy Campbell Brueckner.
She is survived by: her children, Jennie Aschenbach Coyner of Harrisonburg, Suzanne Kohl Goldstein (Larry) of Crimora, Bette Kohl Webber (Greg) of Charlottesville, Mark Ernest Aschenbach (Lesley) of Herndon and Joseph Andrew Kohl (Camilo) of Miami, FL; and her grandchildren, Peter Tevendale (Andrea) of Hawley, PA, Heather Tevendale (Todd) of Brookhaven, GA, Brooke Marshall of Philadelphia, PA, Kevin Coyner of Harrisonburg, Jessie Wagner (Lewis) of Palmyra, Laura Coyner of Harrisonburg, Amy Mays (Wayne) of Amherst, Briana Reid (Whitelaw) of Charlottesville, Jillian Aschenbach of Herndon and Jenna Aschenbach of Leesburg. She is also survived by 17 great-grandchildren.
