He was predeceased by: his parents, Cary A. Nix and Lura E. Nix (Parton); his sisters, Janice Axton and Nellie Felker; and his wife Gail Marsden of New Bedford, Massachusetts..
He is survived by: his children, Deborah Connell (Joseph) of Westford and Cary Nix (Andrea) of Derry; and his grandchildren, Nolan, Brendan, Keegan, Julia, Victoria and Naomi Johnson of Whitmire.
