She was predeceased by: her parents, Maxwell Baker and Ida Spitzer of Rockingham; and her brothers, Maxwell Baker Jr., Charles Baker of Lacey Springs and Richard Baker of Roanoke.

She is survived by: her sisters, Eunice Shoemaker and Janet Reedy of Fulks Run; her daughter Shannon McWilliams; her husband Ashby of Melrose; her son Lester Mitchell; her grandsons, Colton Mitchell and Josh Randall; her grandchildren-in-law, Skylar Breeden and Nikki Fritz; her great grandchildren, Liam Mitchell, Peyton Fritz, Charli Mitchell and Landyn Mitchell; her close friend Raelynn Mitchell; and her pet Bella.
