He was predeceased by : his parents, Glenn Chastain and Alice Chastain (Hoar); his son Ray Alan Chastain, Jr.; and his sister Nita Lynn Stone Hodges of Indiana. He is survived by : his brothers, Arthur Stone of California and Joseph Bailey of Indiana; his daughter Elizabeth Ann Chastain; his grandchildren, Emily and Jefferson Campbell; his caregiver Emily Keister; his friends, Colleen Green, Mindy Griffin and Janice Delensky; and his pets, Azrael, Fishhooks and Murdock.

Donations can be sent to Kyger Funeral Home to help with end-of-life costs.
