He is survived by: his wife Stephanie Simmons; his daughter Amy Payne; his grandchildren, Kylee Payne and Ryan Payne; his son Adam Shoemaker; his child-in-law Ashley Shoemaker; his grandchildren, Collyns Shoemaker, Pyper Shoemaker, Fletcher Shoemaker and Maren Shoemaker; his goddaughter Jordan Liskey (Caleb Liskey); his pet Apollo; Cullen Liskey and Meredith Liskey. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home - Harrisonburg (3173 Spotswood Trail, Harrisonburg, VA 22801).
