She was predeceased by : her parents, Lester Benjamin and Blanche Claire Messerley Frank; her husband James Edgar Hawkins, Jr.; and her brother David Frank. She is survived by : her children, Rick Shaw (Alice) of Salem and Rhonda Harris (Bill) of Charlotte, NC; her siblings, Ben Frank (Linda) and Jenny Foltz (Paul); and her grandchildren, Ethan Shaw, Carter Shaw, Cora Harris and Emma Harris.
