With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Verna Kyger Weakley of Harrisonburg, Virginia, born in Grottoes, Virginia, who passed away on August 24, 2025 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Leon Sr. and Agnes Hilda Dobbins Kyger; her husband Weldon Franklin Weakley; her daughter Ramona Gibson; and her nephew Jarrett Kyger.

She is survived by: her daughter Pamela Whetzel (Ron Shifflett) of Rockingham; her brother P. L. Kyger, Jr. of Greenville, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Jaimie Whetzel and Justin Whetzel; her niece Jacie Kyger; her nephew Whitney Kyger; and her son-in-law Dale Gibson.
