He was predeceased by: his parents, F. B. Wright and Louise Elizabeth Anthony Wright; his wife Joyce Ann Wright (Good); and his daughter Terri K. Wright. He is survived by: his children, Wayne A. "Tony" Wright, Jr. (Linda), Steve Wright, Sr., Tim Wright (Cindy), Jennifer L. Showalter, Rusty Chaffin and Michelle L. Bishop (Ron); his brother Larry K. Wright; and his grandchildren, Stevie K. Wright, Jr. (Crystal), Jasmine Smith (Shane), Shanna Zeigler (Nik), Heather Beall (Nate), Collin Hummel (Chloe), Bethany Ogle (Trayton), Kelli Showalter, Spencer Showalter, Jacob Bishop, Anna Bishop, Zach Wright, Abigail Showalter and Trevor Wright. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and many extended family.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel (3173 Spotswood Trail, Harrisonburg, VA 22801). A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Mount Olivet Christian Church (38 Mt Olivet Church Rd, Elkton, VA 22827).
