He is survived by: his wife Jane Ellen Dickerson Whitmore; his sons, Ryan Michael and Jason Tinsley (Tapleigh); his granddaughters, Hayden Leigh and Leah Ellen; his sisters, Victoria Niethamer Sullivan and Kathy Niethamer Jones (Glenn); his siblings-in-law, Sandra Dickerson Carter (Jim) and Jim Dickerson (Jackie); his nieces and nephews, James Carter Jr., Matthew Dickerson (Corri), Scott Jones (Celeste), Brent Jones (Auburn), Kristie Jones Vest (Tadd), Kimberly Sullivan Rogers (Mitch) and Ashley Sullivan Marks (Ian); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Keen Dickerson, Blaine Dickerson, Camden Jones, Malayna Vest, Rylan Rogers and Harper Rogers.
