He was predeceased by: his parents, Bernard Viers and Pinkie Viers (Thacker); and his grandparents, Tommy, Alice Thacker, Emma and Perry Deel.
He is survived by: his wife Tammy Kay Viers (Coleman) of Haysi, VA; his daughter Alyce Ramey (Isaac) of Edenton, NC; and his siblings, Gayle O'Quinn (Harold) of Vansant, VA, Betty Mitchel of Lorton, VA and Dale Viers (Kathy) of Rosedale, VA.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Grundy Funeral Home (22208 Riverside Dr, Grundy, VA 24614). A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at the Viers Cemetery.
