He is survived by: his wife Roxie Edwards Brooks of Haysi, VA; his children, Timothy Brooks (Cathy) of Harmony, NC and Lisa Brooks Turner of Bluefield, WV; his brother Michael Brooks (Karen) of Diamond Dale, MI; his grandchildren, Jeremy Brooks (Tiffany) of Roanoke, VA, Bethany Ann Olmstead (Brandon) of Claypool Hill, VA, David Alan Turner (Allie) of Lebanon, VA and Whitney Turner; and his great grandchildren, Liam Olmstead, Asher Olmstead, Gavin Turner, Arya and Jack.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peery & St. Clair Funeral Home (232 Ben Bolt Ave, Tazewell, VA 24651). A funeral service was held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
