He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Leon and Mary Elizabeth Blake Elswick; his wife Fannie A. Elswick; his son Keith Elswick; his granddaughter Kaylin Leigh Elswick; and his sister Judy Kellum.
He is survived by: his children, W. Troy Elswick (Brittany) of Weems, VA and Lorrie Hardin (Hosea) of Williamsburg, VA; his stepdaughter Chandra Johnson of Heathsville; his siblings, Kathy Acors (Jack) of White Stone, VA and Darnell Elswick (Cathe) of Orange, VA; and his daughter-in-law Susan Elswick. He is also survived by nine grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Claybrook Baptist Church Cemetery Fund or the American Legion Adams Post 86.
