He is survived by: his wife Penny; his children, Michael (Kelly) and Stephanie Small (Will); his grandchildren, Mason, Finn Blumenthal, Ella, Lily and Sutton Small; his mother-in-law Ann Grimsley; his siblings-in-law, Anna Ashworth and Alan Ashworth; and his sibling's children, Caitlin, Jonathan, Nathan and Jillian.
