He is survived by: his wife Karen Kramer Hughes; his daughter Heather Hughes Sturtz (Eric); his cousin Elaine L. Murphree; and his brothers-in-law, Joseph Fahed (Mary Ellen) and Bernard Kramer (Barbara). He is also survived by several nieces and nephew; and six great nephews.
